  1. During the JFK presidency, thousands of white engineering graduates were hired by aerospace firms with gigantic federal contracts. Yet, all the Black engineering graduates were passed over due to race and color! At that time, JFK exclaimed that "affirmative action" must be taken to address the race injustices in hiring by the federal aerospace contractors, This had nothing at all to do with lowering standards. So, the original meaning of "affirmative action" has been discarded and replaced wirh LOWERED STANDARDS!
