then Islamism, fascism, and nazism are about individualism? Left wing ideas are bout individualism and universalism. This is the core of the French Republican Revolution, and next of historic socialism, including Marx and Engels. This is were come the fight against sexism, racism, bigotry, dictatorship of capitalists, etc.... You have to remember that the more pure left wing society is a kind of socialist anarchism, like was the communist ideal for Marx ( nothing related to what Europeans and Asians eastern regimes call communism ) . Right wing ideas are about authoritarianism and particularism, and it is more true for the far right. The left wing versus right wing antagonism was defined by the French Revolution.

@iamthinking2252_ Yes individualism is born in cities while rural societies are more authoritarian. This is why for Marx there could not have a real communist revolution in countries based on rural economy like Russia where industry was weak. And he was right, all what we get with rural economy is authoritarian regimes.

@reginald_1458 (@ Nina ) No USA is not about equality for all, it is about inequality of wealth. Wealth in the USA define the school level your children can reach, the level of health protection that you and your family cans get, if the justice will be kind or hard toward you ( worst if you are poor and black), if you can become a president or not, etc... When wealth defines the majors aspects of our lives, this is not equality for all. When there the system favors concentration of wealth in the hands of a minority, this not a society based on equality for all. When money/wealth drives the society above the humanity, this is authoritarian by definition. When money defines who has the power, it is authoritarian, by definition. Limiting the hubris of the riches, is not authoritarian. Western Europe , is more about equality for all, some countries are among the most egalitarians countries in the world, not the USA.

@reginald_1458 donald trump is the proof that what you say is false. is wealth and social status was defined at his birth. daddy trump gave him several millions for starting his affairs, not because he has worked for earn this millions but because he was his son. On the other hand we can speak about the other face of the USA : the children of the poor black. Their status and wealth is defined by his birth from a poor black woman, and because the American society is not about equality but inequality by wealth, mum can't get health assurance, and the child can't get the cure from his problems, then the final status of the child is dead, because he was poor at birth. This is why USA are the only western country with babies death rate close to developing countries . Even the poor Cuba, get better results than the mighty and rich USA on this point. And this is because on health and medicine level , Cuba has a politic from the socialist trend, based on solidarity and quality of health services, like western Europeans countries.

What i say is stronger for black children , than for white children, this is the proof that inequality are additives, and that american society is not about equality of opportunity . Number of children's mortality talk for itself. You have bad arguments. In a society based on equality of opportunity, being the child of a black, or a white, of a poor or gf a rich person, does not change (or little ) the possibility for reaching adult age without dying. In a society where the egoism of riches peoples rules, and where money is the limiting factor for getting access to the vital elements making a free living adult , there can't be any equality of opportunity.

too much confusions in many concepts ,a nd many biggoted point of view. Just calling nazism an atheist ideology is a big joke. Just read the 25 point of the NSADP and you see a mention for religion. Hitler spoke like a theologian , and call for god many time. how an atheist regime can put "god with us" on the belt of its soldiers? this is a total non sense. Stalinism was not an atheist ideology : stalin was replacing god, in a new religion. Both ideologies are authoritarian like religions, they call to authority like religions, etc...

@Nina-cd2eh 100 * yes the Left is about an immanent collective, where individuals are equal in rights and actors of the decisions in the society . the Right is about transcendent ( then authoritarian ) collective like nation, race, religion, etc... where only elites ( king, emperor, nobles, aristocrats, riches, religious, etc.. ) take decisions. In a real individualist society control of power is given only by being an individual, not by owning a title, a status, a property or wealth. In the right wig systems, power is given by the privilege of owning something that the majority does not own (wealth, status, race, sex, religion, etc... ) .

Antagonists philosophies. In socialism and Marxism humans are united by their humanity ( universalism ) , while nazism and fascism divide peoples by identities, and treat them unequally according to the identity ( particularism ) . Antagonists philosophies. Defending privileges of some minority elite , is not individualism. Limiting access to education by wealth instead of qualification , is not individualism. The forbidding of abortion in texas, show that the right is not about individualism, but about authoritarianism. The obsession about security , expels the right wing from the individualism. Focus on security and fear is based on the antagonist drive of individualism. Modern left is about giving right to choose to peoples limited by old conservatives policies in the past. Then it is individualist.
