  4.  @jtgd  wouldn’t have been by accident, coffee houses in Vienna were known to be places of debate where different ideas could be discussed. Society was nowhere near as polarised as it is today and people with different opinions actually talked to each other civilly. Shame it didn’t stay that way but the depression and treaty of Versailles and power and land grabs and corporate interests and the profit motive and Nazi fanaticism got in the way. Very similar to today.

  5.  @tonyhawk94 viewing politics of the past through the lens of today is a folly. You must judge it as a contemporary and in the context of it’s time. It’s no more helpful to judge Macron by the politics of the past, and declare him an extreme socialist with communist leanings,
