@thesuperflexibleflyingtaoi8866 wow Germany must have changed a lot since I worked there. I remember being in Germany and two guys who had worked together for 25 Years didn’t know reach others first names, they always referred to ex other as herr this and herr that. It was all business, no one bothered with pleasantries it getting to know you, I remember one German manager I’d never met before coming up behind me and saying “you are herr so and so yes? Good, what I want for you to do is this…” I’d never met the guy, didn’t know who he was, and here he read barking orders at me without a hello how are you or please and thank you. Was a bit of a culture shock to say the least, we didn’t get on for a while after that.

@thesuperflexibleflyingtaoi8866 however, if you don’t like office culture like that, don’t work in the U.K., as it is the most dilbert experience you are ever going to have in your life. Most people just pretend to work, and as long as you’re good at selling yourself and kissing ass you’ll be fine
