She released a video of a song she wrote recorded and filmed in 3 days while being at school 3 weeks ago, its got over 2m views. She released another song 4 days ago and its got half a million views. Those numbers are impressive for any youtuber, particularly for a UK rapper and even more so for a 14 year old girl. I think that deserves a bit more recognition and respect than the bile and hatred you came out with for them and their fans. So yeah, you're a snobby middle class jealous bitter cunt

Sideshow kinda depends really, you'd have to ask. when I was growing up with Jamaicans kids they used black, coloured, half caste etc like it was nothing and so I learnt to use the same words and no one would bat an eyelid. years later, I discovered people I didn't know that well might take offence, especially younger ones, who perhaps have been influenced by American culture and this PC, so called SWJ culture that seems to tell people what to be offended by haig the time. Personally I think it's all about context and intent. Some people are looking to be offended perhaps. She was saying it about her own kids, was she being racist against them? Were they offended? What Americans forget is that not only did Britain abolish slavery long before the US, runaway black slaves had far more support amongst the white working class over here than they might have done in the states. Not to say racism didn't or doesn't exist but it was never as extreme or society as polarised and segregated like in America. The first black person to cast a vote in the UK was probably Cesar Picton in the 1790s, with voting rights increased in the 1830s and universal male suffrage being granted in 1867. By the 1890s London had two Indian elected members of parliament.

  38. Timbo Slice nah its got different roots, and technically has got faster beats and can have an off-beat dirtier style of rapping sometimes. It came from Jungle, Drum n Bass, Garage, Dunstep, generally has around 120-140 bpm, generally the music and rapping will be grittier.

Timbo Slice yeah master P was pretty dirty, kinda like that but also more gritty, not as clean, not as sharp, not as on point and as on beat, more loose, not as polished but deliberately so, if that makes any sense. sometimes you might rap to the bassline for example. Obviously they're not all like that, it's just a generalism

  53. Fade Away I'd agree with the first statement definitely. I'm curious about the second though, was she defending his right to say it or the fact that he said it? My take on it was that she was attempting to explain why he said it, in that he was told to say it by his brothers who are mixed race, that the word is used frequently in the area (presumably by his brothers, possibly/probably by others too) although in what context is unclear, and in the music they listen to. despite her questionable choice of words, I struggle with the concept she could be racist against her own children.
