  1.  @willmartin1033  the reason rail prices have gone up is because the rail companies keep putting them up, in order to keep increasing profits. It doesn’t happen by magic and it’s certainly not happening because of wages as they’ve only gone up 4% in 12 years

  2.  @willmartin1033  you’re quite wrong I’m afraid. You said nationalism of the railway led to inflation today. Nationalism occurred in 1948, as a result of the huge damage incurred during the war. Without it they wouldn’t have survived. It had no bearing on inflation, either at the time or now. Privatisation of the railways was started thatcher in the 80s, selling off train building and other industries and services. The actual railways and train privatisation was started by John major in 1993 and was completed in 1997. It was nothing to do with Labour, so not at all sure why you thought it was. Railtrack was the private company that owned and operated the railway infrastructure, British rail was split into 13 train operating companies who ran the services on the lines and the rolling stock was owned by 3 rolling stock companies. Hope this helps your understanding, not sure where you get your information from but I’d suggest trying somewhere more accurate in future

The actual railways and train privatisation was started by John Major in 1993, took 4 years to complete and was finished in 1997. Again, it was a four year project that was completed in 1997, and again, nothing to do with Labour. All aspects of the Railway were initially privatised. That is all factual and 100% correct, you carry on making stuff up and gaslighting to your hearts content, if you enjoy looking foolish.
