A record low for the pound, record tax cuts and record borrowing to pay for them, as interest rates are at a 20 year high and rising fast, meaning the borrowing is going to be more expensive than it’s been for two decades and increasingly more expensive every year. The fall in the pound means even bigger rises in an inflation rate already at 12.5%, and especially in fuel, gas and energy prices, which are of course all priced in dollars. And I haven’t even mentioned the billions wiped off the stock markets and from people’s pensions, or the impending crash in house prices and the negative equity and repossessions that all this is going to cause. Yup, 1 week will definitely do it.

@Zeitgeist_Dron like denying Catalonia their independence which was overwhelmingly voted for by the people. Where is democracy there? Or denying the Scottish or the Welsh their independence referendum. Hypocrisy at its finest. It’s ok when we do it, but it’s a problem if they do it.

Exactly. A bit like the hypocrisy of Zelensky who has banned all 16 opposition political parties and had their leaders assassinated, imprisoned or exiled. Or even the hypocrisy of the U.K., who have arrested, locked up and charged people for holding up blank signs at the queens funeral and for carrying bunting of 70 different nations flags including Russia’s.
