@DesertStateInEU the only countries where gun violence is a substantially larger problem than in the United States are in Central America and the Caribbean, and a few in Africa. The U.S. has the 32nd-highest per capita rate of deaths from gun violence in the world, 8 times as high as the rate in Canada and 100 times higher than in the United Kingdom

@DesertStateInEU it’s funny you have Norway at the top of your list, they have had one mass shooting which was the Nazi terrorist attack on the children’s camp island. They also have a population of about 4 million, you’d have to compare them to a small state in the USA. A much better comparison is the USA vs Europe, as the population sizes are much more similar, and each country in Europe is equivalent to a state in the USA

@Pendergraft38 it’s not the guns that enable school shootings? Any doesn’t any other country have school shootings then?

They’ve outlawed abortions in Texas in orders to protect children

@susansmith9462 I don’t see any Americans using their guns to fight back against the most corrupt and illegitimate government in the world

@DesertStateInEU Typical (Median) Annual Death Rate per Million People from Mass Public Shootings (U.S., Canada, and Europe, 2009-2015): United States — 0.58 Albania — 0 Austria — 0 Belgium — 0 Czech Republic — 0 Finland — 0 France — 0 Germany — 0 Italy — 0 Macedonia — 0 Netherlands — 0 Norway — 0 Russia — 0 Serbia — 0 Slovakia — 0 Switzerland — 0 United Kingdom — 0 In other words, over 200 people per million are killed in mass shootings in a typical year in the USA whereas 0 are killed in a typical year in every other country

@Isalala3000 that’s why the gun lobby likes school shootings, they’re good for business

@catherinemacaskill1421 it’s not even a democracy anymore it’s just a dysfunctional dystopia

@DesertStateInEU incorrect. You clearly don’t know what median is or have the first clue about statistics. Try counting the number of school shootings in the USA and comparing it with the number in Europe

@DesertStateInEU 27th school shooting in the USA of 2022. Name another continent, never mind another comity, that have had 27 school shootings in 2022. In fact, name another country that has had 1.
1
@DesertStateInEU incorrect. Your understanding of statistics is erroneous. I quoted the median statistics at you and you don’t even know what they mean. Tell me how many countries have had 27 school shootings in 2022? Tell me how many school shootings have happened outside America in 2022? What are you trying to hide?
1
@DesertStateInEU I named 17 countries and you couldn’t answer my point because you don’t know what median is. No one is going to listen to someone who doesn’t understand simple facts about statistics
