@hitch2220 this video is a UK video. It refers to the UK. Not sure what the EU have got to do with it. In case you're interested, one reason the EU is way behind the UK in vaccination despite the Pfizer vaccine being invented in Germany and made in Belgium, apart from the bureaucracy, is that France insisted the majority of the EU vaccine fund was spent on the vaccine it developed before the clinical trails, which have since been a dismal failure. The EUs response to this crisis has been awful

Why the hell are pharmaceuticals allowed to profiteer from these vaccines? Is it any wonder that we're being told we'll need new ones every year, yet another transfer of wealth from the taxpayer to big corporates and friends and families of the government in fat vaccination, ppe and track and trace contracts

@hitch2220 during ww2 this was called profiteering and illegal. Its disgusting that it's allowed now. They should make it at cost price, or only a minimal profit at most. Despicable behaviour.

@hitch2220 the UK aren't in the EU hence why they didn't wait for EU approval and got the vaccines earlier than the EU by giving the companies immunity to prosecution should anything go wrong

@hitch2220 sorry, I didn't infer the implication whatsoever. I struggle to see the connection between the EU and the UK now seeing as the UK is outside the EU. The EU have approved the vaccines normally, well it approved the German vaccine normally but didn't buy it, whereas it didn't approve the French vaccine but did buy it. The UK on the other hand have them all emergency approval and bought them all, apart from the failed French vaccine of course. I'm not sure how it follows that the UK will approve the vaccines normally because the EU have? But thanks for the clarification, it's useful to know what you were inferring because it wasn't obvious to me
