Men are far more into gadgets, they’re far more competitive when it comes to outperforming each other and they’re less bothered about looks, at least they used to be. These are massive generalisations of course, but they’re reasonably true. Maybe a fourth - traditionally a man’s a worth is defined by how much he can provide and how much he’s worth, whereas a woman’s is more intrinsic. I know from my own experience that when my income jumped in suddenly had a lot more friends and far more interest from women. Perhaps there’s more pressure on men to get ahead.

There’s definitely been a negative impact of both social media, covid and the increase in austerity/ poverty on mental health, especially on the youth. I can only speak for Britain but the effects are marked. It isn’t just the youth, stilts are affected too.
