The Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Russian and various Balkan intelligence services have been experts at it since the 50s, and during the Yugoslavian wars in the 90s smuggling increased markedly. Read McMafia by Misha Glenny for an introduction to it, and research Ilya Pavlov, for example. The U.S. has admitted that up to 70 % of the weapons supplied to Ukraine may not end up on the front line, and there have been proven cases of weapons supplied to Ukraine ending up in the Middle East, Africa, south east Asia and even Russia. War is an opportunity for certain people to make a lot of money very quickly with no rules or laws that can be enforced and Ukraine Is one of the most corrupt countries in the world - see the recent FTX scandal v as an example. Borders of war torn countries are far more porous than you might imagine.

@haroldcruz8550 they don’t need inflation to rob us, funding a war or other crisis with taxpayers money whereby certain friends of politicians get government contracts and do very nicely indeed thank you. Although I do agree with your point about banks.
