Didn't mention the dreadnaught race between Turkey and Greece or how the Italian war in Libya in 1911 led to the destablisation of the Balkans

@Ghreinos And the Russians wouldn't have mobilized if the Austrians hadn't have insisted on forcing Serbia to accept Austrian control over it's justice system and instead agreed to refer it to the Hauge as the Serbs suggested. The Serbs agreed to every other ultimation, even the outlawing of anti-Austrian sentiment. Kiaser Wilhiem himself said upon reading the ultimation and the Serbian response "“A great moral victory for Austria but with it all reasons for war are removed". And the Austrians would have never insisted upon such an ultimation so obviously designed to create an excuse for war and would never have declared was if it weren't for German assurances that they would back them up.

@Ghreinos sorry, remind me why Austria had to invade Serbia even though Serbia accepted all but one of their ludicrous demands? The fact is Austria used those demands they knew Serbia wouldn’t agree to as an excuse for an invasion, and Russia had made it quite clear that any such attack on Serbia would be a declaration of war. Not sure why you think Austria has the right to invade Serbia at all. And yes, the Germans were building railways and train stations specifically to mobilise troops quickly for the invasion of France, the did it in secret at night without the knowledge of the civilian population, it’s all in the German archives and common knowledge of you read history, look it up

@Ghreinos can’t remember, look it up. It’s well known the German generals were apprehensive of Russia modernising its railways and army and by 1917 would be about to move its vast troop numbers to the front rapidly by rail, and the German generals thinking was it was better to have a war in 1914 than 1917, hence the schniffen plan

@Ghreinos They spend two years building a huge train station on the french border for the specific purpose of disembarking troops

What other moments might have prevented war? I'm assuming you're talking about a failure of diplomacy
1
@Ghreinos The fact is the Germans were building the rail infrastructure for war with France 2 years before 1914 and Russia mobilising it's troops, that clearly shows intent
