@michaelmccarthy4615 you’d only love it if you were still getting paid. If a robot was doing your job and you and millions of others were unemployed because of it you wouldn’t love it. And that’s exactly what’s going to happen. It’s already happening. Because it’s very important the rich get richer no matter what and no matter who suffers.

@michaelmccarthy4615 my thesis 25 years ago was about the impact technology, particularly AI, renewables and genetic engineering would have on employment and society. I know full well what’s going to happen. It will be like the mechanisation of agriculture, within one generation we went from 97% of the population working on the land to 3%. You want to read up on what happened. It wasn’t pretty.
