@DrCruel how were the forced to fight with they wrote a Kroger writing campaign begging to be allowed to fight? Tell us about the pity Hitler had on the German troops in Stalingrad, or the pity he had for the 6 million Russian pows, half of which were killed, including many women, or the pity he had on the inmates of his concentration camps. Perhaps you think it would have been better for the Russians to just let the Germans invade?

It's the difference between military engagement doctrine in theory and in practice. The enemy rarely conforms to expected behaviour, and flexibility of use is probably the single most important thing on the battlefield when it comes to equipment. Unfortunately those that make decisions are often far removed from the battlefield and rarely take into account the views of soldiers in the field. The recent debacle in Afghanistan is an example.

Must have been terrifying, especially as the Germans were especially brutal to captured female Russian troops.

Must’ve been rough for troops from Georgia

Unless it's a frontal attack, then you're screwed

@anonym3017 t34 was never designed to last long term

Wouldn't they have been more effective in the air?
1
@curlytheunacceptable.4298 surely they’d be slower and more outclassed on the ground?
1
@curlytheunacceptable.4298 well the pilots wouldn’t have been in the planes 😂 can’t see them being as effective on the ground through. I guess with these planes you always want them enemy to be behind and above you which is counter intuitive

@tomasg851 how does it not exist yet
1
@tomasg851 well ok but why are they the only people to have come up with the idea? Seems like an absolute no brainier to me
1
@arnelgelera6248 they bought farms to use as airstrips?
1
@arnelgelera6248 ha ha really where, in the U.K.? 😂 bet that was a scam so raf officers could pick up land for cheap
1
@arnelgelera6248 lol you clearly aren’t aware of the trajectory of land values in the UK post war 😂 trust me, the farmers weren’t the ones that benefited, in any way
1
@221b-l3t were they? I thought they were generally bigger, slower and less manoeuvrable

@juusohamalainen7507 sounds almost as bad as what African Americans and native Americans had to suffer in the US
