Pretty much what they’re doing with the mental health epidemic that has coincided with smart phones and social media, but like the tobacco industry then, there’s too much money in it

@doaimanariroll5121 not to say that none of those play a part, but smart phones and social media increase social isolation
11
Parody is lost on you

@doaimanariroll5121 smart phones and social media definitely play a role. Ask the other things you mentioned were around before, you just like your phone and don’t like commuting to the job you don’t like, so you’ll choose to blame that. Like a drug addict that thinks drugs are doing him good because he enjoys them

Because the world is getting stupider

Not at all, she still laughs about it to this day

This video is basically who shouts the loudest for longest gets listened to, regardless of the validity of their argument

Cute that you thought Starmer was going to improve things. He’s just a Tory in a very thin disguise

Media in particular newspapers were a lot more independent and had a larger range of diverse opinions and content in those days. There were hundreds of completely independent and separate companies who owned them, the same was true for television and radio. Now over 90% of media is owned by just 5 companies, and blackrock and vanguard who own each other have major shares in all of them

Lord Haw Haw I think

I highly doubt aliens have got record players

@vintagestuffguy1998 in an Adam Curtis kind of style, which this reminds me of. Excellent idea

You need cheap, reliable and integrated public transport too. In Switzerland you can get a national season train ticket for about £2000
2
If you think X-rays and smoking were bad wait until 2050 when they publish data on the effect smart phones and social media have had

@catarinamelchiorgomes8750 you’re projecting pal, if I want social interaction I go to the pub

You act like miles weren’t invented and used in Britain. Wow Americans are so dumb.
1
They spend a lot of time bombing and invading it if it doesn’t matter, in reality it’s because your government deliberately undereducated you because it doesn’t want you interfering with its business
1
I’m pretty sure, like Argentinian beef, quality and price are significant factors
1
You studied in London didn’t you? London is not the U.K., and while there are many dumb people in the U.K., thanks to the Americanisation of our society, institutions and culture, they still pale in comparison to the general dumbness of Americans on the whole
1
@kunicrossgaming definitely, who do you think has been is running the country and extra big corporation for the past 15 years at least?
1
@pauln6803 what left is left? Corbyn got 3m more votes than Starmer, they voted for him. But the Zionist media didn’t like him do try did a character assassination on him and he was too soft to get rid of Starmer when he got stabbed in the back by him the first time. And that has cost Britain and the Palestinians dearly. You may not oboe this but Corbyn has the two biggest mandates for any political party leader in history of Europe. They did vote. Wet just don’t live in a real democracy, we live in a oligarchical bureaucracy masquerading as a democracy
1
@angelmarauder5647 don’t disagree with you at all but even in the 60s there are a lot of fiercely independent news and media organisations that weren’t beholden to anyone. The USA was still very much in touch with its roots back then.
1
Harvard and Stanford tenured professors have resorted to falsifying data in their published research papers now
1
@pnku and the oil industry
1
@degeneratemale5386 good for the Dutch I’d say

You mean like one that abolished slavery and sent its navy to stop slave ships and free the slaves on them?
1
There isn’t a housing shortage at all. Just like there isn’t a shortage of roads. There are plenty of houses and flats, it’s just loads of them are empty for most of the time, because they’re either second homes or investments
