  1. Exactly. Thought precisely the same myself for a long time. There’s already been multiple civilisation ending and mass extinction events on earth, even one 12 000 years ago which may have led to the collapse of previous human civilisations, never mind the event that wiped the dinosaurs out. And that’s not even taking into account the very real possibility we may wipe ourselves out through Man made climate change or nuclear Holocaust. There are a lot of chances over time for civilisations, like species, to end.
