  1.  @astrofotoperu  the universe is so big it really doesn't make any difference to us at all whether it is actually infinite or not. As far as we're concerned, it might as well be. Even if we were to somehow able to travel at light speed (impossible) for 13 and a half billion years (also imposes) to where the light from the most distant visible part of the observable universe appears to come from, we'd find that during the resulting 27 billion years not only had it changed beyond all recognition but it had become even more distant from us than before. It's pretty much as close to infinity as makes no odds even if we travel at light speed for billions of years, and we're never leaving the solar system, so you may as well just think of it infinite.
