He sounds Austrian to me. You can hear the mountains in his voice when he talks.

@Sphere723 wait so you're saying the US borrowed the old Russian proverb, "quantity has a quality all of it's own"

@Guantanamo8732 what cos they were told not to engage enemy tanks and most crews would abandon tank at the sight of a tiger rather than be cooked alive. What's the ratio of sherman tanks hit to crews surviving compared to tigers?
1
@Guantanamo8732 quantity over quality, out producing the Germans is how the war was won. Along with British intelligence and the red army, who tied up 150 divisions on the Eastern front leaving a paltry 4 on the western front. And the Russians still won the race to Berlin

@Guantanamo8732 any shermans that engaged tigers were destroyed and their crews toasted. Tell me a whee survivability of sherman crews after being hit by a tiger vs the survivability of tiger crews after being hit by a sherman

@Guantanamo8732 rather be in a tiger with broken transmission than the sherman cooking pot
1
@Guantanamo8732 a stationary loose tiger will take out ten shermans and cook their crews alive before it's destroyed. The other shermans would just avoid it and go around

@Guantanamo8732 but not most shermans

In a future war of similar intensity f35s will suffer the same fate as tigers, effective but unreliable and more often out of action due to repair, maintenance and failure.
