@joestein6603 nuclear power stations last maximum 50 years, after that you have to mothball them but keep cooling them, maintaining them and monitoring them for 1000 years, and that’s not even taking into account the nuclear waste accumulated which have to be stored maintained and monitored for 1000 years too. These costs are never taken into account, and the more nuclear plants you build, that need replacing every 50 years, the bigger this cost gets

@bigsmall246 nuclear waste stays dangerously radioactive for 10 000 years, and there is no long term solution to deal with it. The long term cost of storing nuclear waste and maintaining storage facilities is never taken into account, and nuclear accidents are almost always completely closed over and under reported. Fukushima released as much radiation as Chernobyl, they just flushed it all into the sea
