  1. I’d argue that the subsequent explosion represent me the chances of a manned mission to Mars successfully returning in this century. You want to put a nuclear motor on that thing? We haven’t been to the moon in over 50 years , before we even think about going to Mars we should be establishing a moon base and making regular scheduled flights there. That would give us experience we need, and we could look at starting the Mars mission from the moon. We’re trying to fly before we can even crawl. There Idea they were going to have a Mars base with a colony in our lifetimes never mind this century is fanciful. We can barely keep a research station in Antarctica going. We don’t have a base at the bottom of the ocean. We don’t have a base on the moon. The reason we’re don’t is because these things are incredibly difficult. Space suits are only good for 6 uses maximum then they need replacing. If you’re on a Mars base, where are you getting all your replacement space suits? And that’s just one problem.

  2. I mean if they hadn’t deleted it maybe it would have. Then again, if they hadn’t have rushed it maybe it wouldn’t have blown up at all
