If there’s one country that understands the dangers that the assassination of foreign statesman can bring, it’s Russia. Besides which, Kennedy and Kruschev had just concluded a secret deal that involved withdrawal of nuclear missiles and the establishment of a hotline, it’s highly unlikely Russia reacted to replace him with the far for hawkish, pro war and anti Russian LBJ
