@ericscottstevens did you ever consider that he might have also been a high ranking Nazi official and in the military? East Germany went through a period of denazification that West Germany never did. Indeed, in the 70s most senior governing positions in local and national government as well as corporations were held by ex Nazi party members. West German students were shot dead by the police for protesting about it. Bet they didn’t teach you that in your West German school, but it’s true

You didn’t mention US occupation of western Germany, the fact they kept Nazis in pistons of power and authority, shot 100 000 partisans in Italy and Greece who had fought against the Nazis, and shot West German students in the 70s who protested against the Nazis still running their country. Of course, the USA shot their own students for protesting in the 60s, you won’t mention any of that will you?

I think you’re being slightly naive. Unifications have been done lots of times. The union of England and Scotland, for example, over 300 years ago, where much I’d the same things happened, and I can assure you there is no less of a distinction between the two. If anything, it has got greater. West German capitalism plundered the East, Ava that absolutely could have been predicted. In fact, those same corporations were pushing for unification for the very reason. So to say no one had done this before and it wasn’t possible to foresee what was going to happen, is rather naive. You simply needed to look at history and capitalism, and ask

@auburn8833 perhaps it was the superior attitude you said it with they didn’t like? West Germans have been told they are much better than the East for decades, and they believe it, and they act like it. That kind of acting superior tends to piss people off
