@user-gi7nq5nr6o I don’t know, Japan can be quite racist. I remember a shop in the south with a sign on the front saying so foreigners allowed.

@Repudiate most Italians speak less English than most Japanese yet they are the most welcoming culture ever, anywhere you go. They don’t need to understand your language to accommodate you. No business in Britain is going to turn down your money simply because they can’t understand your language.

@Repudiate try putting that sign up in Western Europe. Not accommodating foreigners is racist, especially when your tourists expect to be accommodated all over the world.

It’s very common on buses and trains in Japan, pretty much accepted maybe like England in the 1920s.

@user-gi7nq5nr6o well yeah, when you’ve got a sign saying no foreigners you’re inviting trouble. I’m not English, I’m Irish and I speak Japanese, and I went in and told them what I thought about their sign. If I put up a sign in my restaurant in Galway saying no Japanese they’d be hell to pay, and not just from the Japanese. It’s cool when they do it, but a problem if I do it? Sorry, but I’m not having it. It’s racist, it’s discriminatory, it’s prejudiced and it’s bigoted. The Japanese love coming to Europe and America as tourists in their millions and are made very welcome, it’s about time they started to reciprocate that. No foreigners indeed. We’ll soon see about that.

@Repudiate there’s no signs anywhere in England that say English only, that’s just a lie. London has more languages spoken in it everyday than any other city on earth. British councils and public services provide more translations to more foreign languages than any other country. You are welcome to speak Japanese anywhere you go in Britain. Just because most people won’t understand you does not make them racist. Japanese tourists are quite happy to go round the world travelling but don’t like it when the world comes to them. Get over yourselves, your lack of children means you need immigration, unless you want a zombie economy and an ever increasing aged population forever. It’s coming whether you want it or not, so get used to it.

I know that goes on ax lot in Eastern Europe like the Ukraine and Poland for example, with a lot of women being human trafficked AB’s ending up as sex slaves in Saudi Arabia, but I’ve never heard of it happening in Japan, don’t they have loads of hostess bars and brothels to meet those requirements legally?
