The British government have never cared about human rights violations, only what they consider to be their interests, which translates as the interests of the ruling class to make a lot of money. Israel and Saudi Arabia have lots of money so the British government is quite happy to rubber stamp their arms sales, regardless of human rights violations. Hence why British made cluster bombs are dropped on school buses in Yemen, and British made bunker busters on 14 storey apartment blocks in Gaza.
