@ziongaming9093 mps and the rich are getting richer I notice, big corporates are making record profits, CEOs making record bonuses, as prices rises reach record levels and real wages are the lowest in 50 years. In the 70s and 80s there was 6 times as many pubs and they were full every night, and we were poor then. There’s plenty of money being made, it’s been taken from the working people and given to the wealthy elite line sunak and Hancock. They need stringing up

The country is falling apart and being dismantled by corrupt imbeciles who should be arrested and locked up. We need to do what Ukraine did and kick this corrupt treacherous government out ourselves and install a government of the people by the people for the people

@brians132 of course they do. IFC the government increased corporation tax for 2 years and had a windfall Tax on record profits private companies would slash wages. It’s quite simple.

@HowDoYouUseSpaceBar the 200 000 tech layoffs are because AI is replacing their jobs. I see shell made record profits in 2022, doubling their 2021 profits but high gas prices are nothing to do with them profiteering, it’s workers wages that cause inflation

@jjefferyworboys8138 footballers don’t get bailed out by governments every time they fcuk up and lose the money the public lent them for safe keeping. Billions of people runs the world pay to watch premier league footballers every week, never mind the millions in the U.K. who pay to watch them and see them live. Nobody is paying to watch bankers get bailed out with taxpayers money that means we have to have 20 years of austerity and declining living standards as a result. Footballers aren’t causing the holes in our pockets.

@HowDoYouUseSpaceBar yet. 200 000 lay offs in one month is no joke. Not everyone will be laid off, but there will be a lot more unemployment in the future and it will happen faster than you and most people expect. When agriculture was mechanised it took one generation to move from 97% of people working the land to only 3%. The huge unemployment created the mass available labour force that led to the industrial revolution, and the first urban slums. Conditions were horrific, and a huge portion of the population were poorer and worse off than their parents had been. The same thing will happen over the next 25 years and the changes to employment in the next 5-10 years are going to huge. Buckle up.
