If only Ukrainian forces would allow civilians to leave instead of using them as human shields

@baneofbanes I’ve seen footage of the azov battalion stopping them leaving, because of the civilians leave the Russians will annihilate them the battlefield, so they keep the civilians and hide in the residential areas and use them as human shields. It makes no sense for the Russians to not let them leave at all

It’s known that the azov battalion have changed into civilian clothing and are trying to leave with civilians and use them as human shields just as they have been since Russia invaded. If you have military forces and artillery hiding in residential areas using civilians as human shields and not allowing them to leave whilst engaging Russian forces instead of letting the civilians leave and going out to meet Russian forces on the battlefield to protect civilians then of course you are going to get collateral damage just like you did in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are more people dying of Covid in the U.K. then Ukrainian civilians being killed by Russians every week and no one cares about Covid anymore so they aren’t killing that many. There’s probably more Ukrainians dying of Covid than being killed by Russia if we’re being honest.

@baneofbanes who says they are? It’s a convenient excuse. Doesn’t mean they don’t exist, aren’t a problem and aren’t using Ukrainian civilians as human shields

@baneofbanes they’re doing exactly that. They’re hiding in residential areas amongst civilians, setting up their artillery there and using them as human shields

@baneofbanes I’ve seen videos of the azov battalion stopping civilians who were crying and pleading to go leaving and calling them Greek cowards, the Russians gave them humanitarian corridors like they’ve done in the past but azov wants to use them as human shields. It makes absolutely no sense for the Russians to keep them there, if all the civilians go they can just wipe out the military forces that remain, civilians just get in the way which is why the Nazi azov cowards won’t let them leave and use them as human shields

@baneofbanes yeah cos the Russians really like waiting around doing sieges getting picked off rather than having a city empty of civilians with just the military that they can destroy with impunity. Hence why azov are stopping civilians leaving and keeping them as human shields. And i doubt very much whether they will be too concerned about feeding them, supplies will go to those with guns first
