@kingmasterlord unfortunately the nature of our super wealthy overlords is highly competitive and as history has proven time and again they don’t mind how many of us die for their struggle for wealth and power

@johncaccioppo1142 I’d argue that human greed of even more dangerous than human stupidly
5
It’s been trained by humans on data generated by humans, so the fact it makes things up and makes mistakes shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone. It’s just like people, especially people on the internet
5
As an industry member, I must say I’m completely shocked

@rassman48 I think you’re misunderstanding how it works. It’s not a thinking machine, it’s not like having a conversation with a person where it will contemplate ideas and so on. It’s just predicting the next word based on the content of the text that came before it. When you’re having your conversation about your theory, the longer that goes on the more likely it is to predict words and sentences that agree with you. That’s not to say that it can’t or hasn’t come to with some intelligent and useful stuff, it can definitely do that. But like you said, it can also hallucinate. It’s just based on probabilities, what randomness factor you set the model to and how many tokens you tell it to consider. The more random and the more tokens, the more creative it will be. The less randoms and fewer tokens it considers, the more conservative and deterministic it will be.

I’m in shock at your statement

@guccifer7874 or, here’s a thought, we could work with China, like how Reagan worked with Gorbachev to reduce nuclear weapons. People seem to forget that the USA can actually act with diplomacy if it has the right leaders. Biden doesn’t seem quite up to the task though.

This message is brought up you by ChatGPT. This comment will be used as part of the data set to train GPT5, thus feeding the snake it’s tail.

Can you share the link to your chat with this response in please? You may have to break it up by putting a space between every letter to avoid the YouTube auto mods from censoring it

I fancy her already. I can tell she’s a redhead

@TheAiGrid to 1 million people, because they’re terrified it’s going to have major problems. They should be, because their employees who have been working on it have warned them repeatedly it’s not safe.
2
The problem Google has is the stuff they have ready to release isn’t as good and the stuff they want to release is nowhere near ready, and is downright dangerous. Google employees have been told not to raise concerns about the safety of forthcoming AI releases after there was a flood of internal warnings about it when Google announced plans to fast track the release of some of it’s AI tools. Given that the industry has called for a pause and more regulation, it is very telling that Google are ignoring those calls and the safety warnings of their own employees and rushing the release of their AI software. If it’s anything like their product demo and release of bard it’s going to be more mistakes because both were bad calls and handled dreadfully, and did nothing to improve Google’s image or share price, quite the opposite in fact. And this is precisely what Google was afraid of.

Yeah exactly

Yeah exactly

An LLM was definitely used to write this video script

The military and nsa have got the latest tech, way ahead of anything the public have access to
2
@amark350 that’s already coming to the U.K. They recently passed public order bill gives permission for the government to install AI powered cameras with ANPR and facial recognition that can recognise the faces of occupants in cars and track them nationwide. These cameras are being stored across Britain and it is likely they will be linked to the new government digital currency that is programmable. Of course it’s just a coincidence that Infosys, the company given the contract to write all the software that does all this, is owned by the current prime minister’s father-in-law.
2
@the42nd exactly. They want regulation to stop the competition of open source AI. That’s the only reason they want it.
2
@LACHIVA1969 in some ways it is, in other ways nowhere near. It’s not very good at chess or driving cars, and is still pretty rubbish at solving physics or engineering problems
1
The media purposely reported it as fact in order to scare Congress
1
They will be a walking target, everyone will want to take them on. They’ll bring our harsh laws making them have the same rights as real cops , you watch.
1
Stopped using Google years ago, far too many sponsored scam links. Reddit and Tiktok are both far quicker and superior with no adverts or scams
1
@ravitejaknts nope, you need to read up on what’s going on more instead of guessing.
1
@ravitejaknts well you need to take your own advice and stop fanboying because reading Google press releases isn’t really reading up on it. Maybe use a different search engine other than Google if you want to find out the truth about Google
1
@ravitejaknts you’re clueless son. Just use a different search engine and you’ll easily find news articles on what I’ve told you
1
@HarpreetSingh-xg2zm and yet when Google realised bard it was nowhere near as god and their global tech demo was a disaster. Google have had 20 000 people working on AI for over ten years, compared to open AI who have 400 employees in the entire company and were only founded in 2017. What on earth have Google been doing and why are they so far behind the functionality Ava safety curve? Why can’t they even give a half decent tech demo? The company is an embarrassment, all they care about it selling scam bait advertising links for Indian scamming companies
1
He knows everything - he was best friends with him for over 20 years. He’s 💯 a certi pedo
1
And the reason for that is that’s they’re afraid it’s going to rubbish 😂
1
@TheAiGrid all of which isn’t ready to be released and which their employees have warned them isn’t safe
1
Why do you need to pay taxes if robots are performing all government services?
1
Do you know about all the AI currently being trained on the best ways to kill people in Ukraine? Have you heard about the US’s latest AI Autonomous drone? During testing they cancelled a mission, so it tried to cut communications and when they stopped it doing that it tried to take out its operators, because it’s reward function prioritised carrying out the mission.
1
They already do, but you’re completely right. Unless we take a stand now they will just use AI to become even more wealthy and power at our expense. No doubt lots of us will have to die in their struggle for more power and wealth, as has happened throughout history.
1
This is probably made by AUTOGPT
1
What does this mean? Sounds very Meta
1
Or that open ai could do the same
1
As long as you’ve got shock access it doesn’t matter
1
MS is just another evil monopoly, if Bill gates had got its way he’d own Google and none of this would be happening. It’s only because he doesn’t and Google have the monopoly that they’re doing this, and it’s only because MS are doing this that Google are reluctantly releasing their AI
1
@AlisonWinter1985 you’re really pretty Alison. I bet you’re also highly intelligent. Choose wisely and have a great life 👍
1
@GoharioFTW makes it a lot easier for them to control you
1
The USA is already doing it
1
@commenteroftruth9790 it’s already out of control.
1
@guccifer7874 take Germany for example? You mean the most productive economy in the west? The worlds leader in engineering and manufacturing technologies? The country with the most productive workforce and highest wages in the world? The country that didn’t offshore all its manufacturing to China and Software Development to India because of these pesky regulations and restrictions?

Ha ha. Tbh, I think Google she’s Apple are doing to fall behind here. Here’s why. Google are an advertising distribution company. They make their money from selling advertising. The search bit is just the medium they use to sell advertising distributors, the goose that pays the golden eggs. That’s more important to them than any AI that could gobble up their market without replacing it. Apples are a phone company. Try believe that phones are the be all and end all, more important than any 3td party app that might be on them. And they see AI at best as just another app, and at worst as just via text predictor, which us why they’ve decided to only use it sue autocomplete.
1
Already happening.
1
@MrWyzdum politicians fail to do things all the time, except taking backhanders. The idea that whatever happens in inevitable and there’s nothing we could have done is laughable. There’s no such thing as free will, it’s all fate and pre-determined? That’s BS.
1
This is the us government telling them to slow down what they release to the public, this can only be a bad thing
1
@darkandtwisted the pause will only be what they release, behind closed doors they’ll carry on
1
The human nature of the super wealthy elite who control the world through their political puppets.
1
@rogerramjet6429 exactly, they’ll die defending a ruling class who despise them
