With the amount of money in football, and the amount riding on games, itā€™s inconceivable that attempts arenā€™t made to influence games and referees, especially with the complete lack of transparency of the var system and the inexplicable calls it makes. Rugby and cricket donā€™t have this problem, so why does football? Because thereā€™s a lot more money involved, and some very shady people involved too, like FIFA, Uefa, the FA, and Saudi Arabia, to make but a few. Horse racing and boxing gets fixed all the time. Professional sports only exist because of gambling, and gambling has always gone hand-in-hand with match fixing

They had the most successful season but they weren't the best side in the premier league because they didn't get the most points, most wins, most goals etc. You might win 3 Olympic gold medals for the 100m and be the most successful sprinter but the best sprinter is the one who holds the world record for the 100m

  29. Ā Gabriel ChinĀ  how is winning a treble harder than 100 points? 100 points has only ever been done once in almost 150 years of English football. Man u 99 aren't the only team to win a treble. Liverpool won a treble under houllier. City won the domestic treble a couple of years ago. I remember united fans celebrating the treble they won under mourinhio. Everyone will remember 100 points, 100 goals, biggest winning margin and greatest goal difference ever as they were quite simply the greatest champions of England ever seen, all the records are proof of that. If someone else beats those records and wins the league then they will be the greatest. Liverpool had the chance last session but didn't quite manage it. You have far fewer chances to lose or draw games to get more than 100 points than you do if you want to win a treble

Difference is city haven't gone ten years without winning anything, in fact they've won more trophies and more titles than any other club over the last decade in England, so I'm sure that the fans of the club with the record home attendance in England will be able to curb their enthusiasm slightly better then rangers or even the scousers, for both of whom winning a title is now a rare event. It'll be cities 3rd in 4 years.
