  1. Less resistance causes less strain on logistics? I'm not so sure about that. Less resistance means more rapid advances which means stretched supply lines that struggle to keep up. I know the Germans suffered with this a lot, so surely the Russians had the potential to suffer with it more? If it takes you ages to advance you have plenty of time to consolidate your supply lines, no?
