American planes require so much maintenance and need near perfect conditions with fos to take off, they’re all designed to work in air supremacy conditions, not battlefield conditions
9
@msquaretheoriginal American planes have never gone up against a peer competitor in battlefield conditions like you find in Ukraine. They are built for total air supremacy. A 50/50 war where your airfields are being bombed and you don’t have the luxury of perfect runways and 100s of hours of aircraft downtime to do maintenance is a different kettle of fish.

Ukrainian migs are taking off from fields and at best roads because their airstrips are all damaged, can an f16 do that? Ukrainians can’t do fos, can f16s handle debris on their takeoff strips? The training time on an f16 is significantly longer than a grippen. The maintenance on an f16 requires a much larger, more technically trained crew with much more specialised equipment and those crews will require significant training. Ukraine is short of manpower as it is. The retired maintenance and turnaround time of an f16 is a lot longer than the grippen. The grippen has been designed too take off and land in snowy icy fields, the f16 has not. It’s not as simple as just giving them whatever place you have the most spare of that you want to get rid of. Americans think when they have a hammer every problem is a nail.
7
@gotanon9659 it needs a lot more road and the tarmac had to be in near perfect condition, plus you have to conduct a fos beforehand, all of which are unlikely to be available in Ukraine
6
@gotanon9659 what’s the turnaround on an f16?

It’s not a sound and logical strategy as it will load directly to nuclear war and Ukraine will be the first to get it. The Ukrainian leadership had shown very little in the way of logic, playing hardball with Putin and violating the Bucharest and Minsk accords for the better part of the past decade and then asking for NATO involvement when the inevitable Russian response comes are just two examples. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Their refusal to negotiate with Russia is just their latest stupid policy, the result of which will be the wrecking of their country. All of this could have been avoided

ForceSmart also, most gridiron tacklers etc are full of highly addictive painkillers and mostly not as bright as your average rugby player
2
@petersouthernboy6327 they can definitely hit Poland and blame it on Russia with them, if they’re more successful in the future they won’t need any f16s themselves since the USA and NATO will be flying f35s and f22s for them
2
@SiriusMined America always needs a bad guy huh
2
@rayjames6096 most Europeans want the war to end now with negotiations since we can’t afford our fuel or energy bills and it won’t be long before we can no longer afford food. In Britain 5 million working families have to go to food banks every week because the cost of living has gone up that much we can’t afford it

How were drones used in Armenia? To commit genocide?
1
@WagesOfDestruction it’s easy to say when it’s not you or your family dying. This war is being waged for profit, zelensky is a CIA puppet. It’s no coincidence they chose an actor for this propaganda piece. He’s still refusing to negotiate and continuing to play hardball, all this talk of genocide and atrocities is baloney, less than 1000 Ukrainians have died in 3 weeks of war, more died in the first 3 days of the invasion of Iraq and more people have died of Covid in the U.K. alone in the past 3 weeks. 750 Yemenis died in 48 hours of Saudi bombing raids last week, over 100 000 Yemeni children have been killed by the Saudis in the past 5 years in the conflict but we’re only supposed to care about this one because there’s gas and oil that Hunter burden and us companies want and us arms companies need somewhere else to make profits now Afghanistan has ended, so the Ukrainian people will pay the price with their lives and their country will get wrecked, and zelensky of a willing contributor to this
1
@WagesOfDestruction according to the un it was 550 on Friday

This tells me that it will take less for the Russians to escalate to go nuclear so we soils be very careful about how we act, sending aircraft carriers to the area may be very dangerous especially as they’re french and likely to be arrogant, particularly as the current french president thinks he’s napoleon
1
Wasn’t the a10 designed to stop soviet tanks coming through the gap and invading Europe? So presumably there would be a whole load of Soviet armour I’m huge columns and the a10s would just gun run the lot repeatedly causing mass damage
1
@jukahri the us are already talking about regime change in Russia
1
@michaelpettersson4919 you might be but I can’t see Sweden giving them to a corrupt state where Nazis have so much influence and are committing war crimes
1
@N Fels on behalf of Syria, against Assad, so on behalf of the Islamic extremists isis who were fighting Assad then
1
@N Fels incorrect. The Russians were the only ones to bomb isis convoys seeking oil to the Saudis, Israel acted as the isis Air Force against Assad. The Russians actually assisted the Kurds hence why Turkey shot one of their planes down
1
@N Fels not got a very good grasp of geopolitics have you? Asssad is allied with Russia and Iran, and Israel is quite happy to induce civil wars in the lands of it’s enemies allies. This stuff is basic knowledge and not hard to research, there’s footage of Israeli jets taking out Kurdish positions ahead of an isis attack

What keeps a plane in the air? The pilot, the engines, the fuel, the wings. I'd start there myself.
1
ushoys well not really a plane can fly to a certain degree without some of that as you cab see by all the damage the surviving leaves took but no plane without a pilot or cockpit is going anywhere but down
1
@jamesocker5235 it won’t
1
@rayjames6096 why not, they’re paying for everything else, including the 40 billion that Ukraine put into FTX that’s now disappeared
1
@rayjames6096 well we were until the USA intervened and provoked this proxy war in order to weaken Russia and grab European oil and gas markets. The USA is willing to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian
1
@ASS_ault Ukrainians are European
1
@ASS_ault like I said, the USA is willing to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian
1
@ASS_ault you’re happy for every Ukrainian to die for that are you?
1
@ASS_ault nuclear war is no big deal? And here we have the Ukrainian extremist mindset
1
@ASS_ault actually a lot of American politicians and generals have said it
1
@ASS_ault they did and it’s easy to find the footage but you keep on pumping out your Ukrainian propaganda, it must feel good knowing that most corrupt country in Europe is scamming so much money out of the rest of us
1
@ASS_ault it was on the news, there’s videos of them saying it on YouTube, it’s not a secret
1
@Jim Carner shouldn’t we also give them to Haiti since they’re being invaded to?
1
As Germany spends nearly 100 billion a year in rearming i fully expect this guy to have a position Germany‘a new Luftwaffe and air defence
1
@LuvBorderCollies tell me about the countries Russia invaded over the past few centuries? Russia has lost more lives from being invaded than any other country and it’s not even close
