I guess the prevalence of gun crime over there makes the authorities nervous about handing out equipment to make gun crime easier for the perpetrators to get away with to people without knowing who they are and checking them out first. You've had a few presidents and politicians shot and what not if I recall. Nowhere near enough bankers and tech billionaires though. Next time one of your fellow countrymen feels like going on a bit of a rampage maybe suggest those two options as alternative viable targets, could end up being the first mass shooting that is widely celebrated

  18.  @daltongarrett7117  err yeah mate people glass and bottle people all the time here. In Britain the words glass and bottle are verbs as well as nouns. Loads of places now only serve in plastic glasses because it's such a huge problem. Growing up in Manchester you would hear the sound of glass breaking every time you went out, and you'd always see someone getting carted off in an ambulance, often 2 or 3 times a night . Most lads from working class housing estates have got glass scars on their heads which you can see when they shave them. Brits drink a lot more than yanks, and they're not shy about fighting at all. I guarantee to you if everyone had a gun it would be absolute carnage. It kicks off regularly in most high streets on a Friday and Saturday night. The image that the media portray to you about the uk is the middle and upper class lifestyle. The reality is the majority of people are working class and that image you see says nothing to them about their lives. You've heard of football hooligans I presume

Ugly get sheep that have escaped in the county on the roads and lanes. Unusual to hit a big animal here. You don't often hear about it happening. Bull bars are illegal so your car would be totalled if you did it at speed. Don't think you'd be fined unless they could prove you did it on purpose or were intoxicated or driving too fast

Do you know if you got paid 60 grand an hour and worked from when jesus was born until today, 24 hours a day 365 days a year with no breaks and kept all your money and didn't spend any you still wouldn't be as rich as Jeff Bezos? Think about that. He could end world hunger and not even notice they money that was gone

  24.  @daltongarrett7117  erm yeah but you'll probably be done for involuntarily managing or something and get 5 years and do 2 and a half. Depends on the circumstances, the force used has to be appropriate, you can't kill someone just because they punched you, you have to show your life was in imminent danger. If you're at home and they attack you, that's different. An Englishman's home is his castle, so they say. You have to be cute with it, you can't say you used a weapon that you deliberately had in the house for that purpose because that shows premeditation, you have to say you just picked up the nearest thing to hand which happened to be a hammer because you'd been putting up pictures that day or something.

  25.  @daltongarrett7117  having said that there was a famous case a while back where a farmer shot a burglar in the back with his shotgun as he was fleeing. He got away with it in the end but I think he originally got convicted and it went to appeal. Quite controversial because the sentence for burglary isn't death and shouldn't be handed out by the public. I think he probably got away with it because he was landed gentry and the burglar was just some young poor kid on drugs and he was running away

I'm guessing that not everyone is so keen to check their guns when asked after a few drinks, I see a lot of stuff online from Americans saying the only way to get their guns from them is from their cold dead hands. We already have plenty of shootings and carrying guns is totally illegal, it just wouldn't work here. People like drinking and fighting way too much

Toffs occasionally still hunt foxes and fox cubs on horses with packs of dogs, they generally let the dogs rip them apart though. It's meant to be illegal but they're toffs so you know. The toffs also have pheasant and duck shoots every year but I wouldn't call it hunting. There ain't really any wildlife that hasn't been put there and isn't owned and managed, apart from foxes and badgers, badgers get shot cos some farmers think thy spread bovine foot and mouth but the evidence for that is proper sketchy. The only things left are deer and swans and they all belong to the queen apparently
