The military oil industrial complex takes America into war, and you can isolate as much as you want that ain't gonna change, not with over 1000 overseas military bases. They're already regretting Cheney closing the bases in the Philippines when that volcano blew up. Germany doesn't have an isolationist policy yet it has booming manufacturing base and doesn't go round invading anyone anymore either. Ditto Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, etc etc
