@dailyright redistributed happens in America, it goes from the working and middle class to the government then to the rich.

Everytime you cast your vote at every level you should also get to vote on what the taxes you paid at that level are spent on.

I’m not religious, but it strikes me that a lot of Christians fail to realise Jesus was a socialist.

@MeanBeanComedy According to the National Taxpayers Union Foundation, the top 10% of earners in the USA pay 21.3% of all income taxes while the top 25% of earners pay 89% of all income taxes. This means the 15% of payers from the 75th percentile to the 90th percentile pay 68% of the taxes. Clearly the top 10% are getting away with massive tax fraud and tax avoidance. However, this is only income tax, and doesn’t take into account payroll tax which is regressive, sales tax, and the income the rich earn from shares, investments and dividends etc.
