  5. Why is the “independent” acting as a mouthpiece for Ukrainian propaganda? Is it going to run Russian propaganda as well? How about a history lesson, the ussr was led, run and dominated by Ukrainians for 30 years, and during this time in the 60s Crimea was gifted to Ukraine by the Ukrainian Secretary General of the ussr and the Ukrainian dominated politburo, despite it never having belonged to Ukraine before and 95% of the population being Russian, who by the way voted overwhelmingly to go back to Russia, since they never had a say about it in the 60s and never wanted to be part of Ukraine anyway. This is just geopolitics because the USA know this and how strategically vital Crimea is to Russia
