  3. Yeah we all used to get battered by my dad, mostly when he was drunk, etc was most of the time. He stopped when my mum left him with us. Stopped drinking, stopped the abuse, well the physical stuff anyway, and that was enough. Was much better after that. I think he’s autistic, of course it didn’t exist when he was a kid so it’s never been diagnosed but it’s pretty apparent. I wonder how many drunks are, and use alcohol to self medicate
