Your analysis is seriously flawed and contradictory. You talk about the purchasing power of the dollar in China vs the US then go on to day that the US pay it's troops more than China without taking into account purchasing power. In absolute terms the US may pay it's troops more but in relative purchasing power Chinese troop wages buy a lot more in China than US troop wages do in the US. The main reason the US government has to pay far higher prices than China isn't wages at all, it's the inflated overpriced charges the military industrial complex hoists on the US taxpayer thanks to lobbying interests. An example can be seen in the incredibly inefficient and politicised splitting of the production of the f35 over 45 states. The facts is the US massively overpays for its military hardware, much of which only functions in ideal conditions and requires huge amounts of maintenance, neither of which you are likely to get in real battlefield circumstances.

DJBucca why do Americans insist on owning guns to defend themselves against their government then

bobshenix not sure the US military is that geared up to fighting a defensive war. They couldn't even stop a few rookie pilots in jumbos

bobshenix so Russia or China fighting a defensive war against an invading US force makes them the bad guys?

@drgrey7026 right, sure. 911 is practically forgotten, I mean it's barely mentioned. Probably not even in the top ten biggest foreign attacks on American soil, because obviously the biggest are all American. Still, if the air defences cast find a giant slow moving jumbo, how the fuck they gonna find a small fast stealth bomber? Or a supersonic missile? Or a warhead?
