  1. In 2011 the median age of baby boomers was 53. In 2022 the median age was 64. That's your problem. It's been a recognised approaching problem for 3 decades. Nothing was done by any government to prepare. Instead the opposite, lower taxes reducing in smaller tax receipts and thus less money to to round on government spending. NHS reform will inevitably need to drop services and increase privatisation with introduction of user co-pay.
