This same conflict will still be raging when your great, great grandchildren are old. This is a religious war, created by all sides believing their deity (ironically the same one) chose their people specifically to own the land. This is what happens when countries are built around religious belief. It's not just abrahamic religions, it's any religion. India and Pakistan continue to fight over Hinduism V Islam. Tibet under the Lamas was a nightmarish state. Everything we think of as progress has come from secularism. There's a simple solution. No foreign aid, no international trade, excommunication DPRK style for any country that does not implement secularism in practice not just name. In developed nations we can go one step further in improving our countries by listing religious belief in the DSM 6 / ICD 11 as the mental illness that they truly are, rendering belief therein cause for exclusion from eligibility to be involved in politics. No one charged with running a country should believe the characters of a storybook are real.

@Mike Lowrey Mate, there is no such thing as "evil" and you're completely wrong. The Jewish-Palestinian holy war has been going for ~3,000 years. It's a point both sides use to justify their position. The UK and yankville weren't even countries when it started. Your reference to 1947 itself was prompted by religion. The resettlement of Jews en masse in the region came about because the Jews of Europe wanted to rule over Zion and the Christian lobbies of the west THINK facilitating that will bring back "Jesus" (Yəhōšū). But the Jews never left the region, never stopped their claim to it and the fighting over their "holy" sites never stopped. Look to any country raised on religion and there you will find the same. In the west, you will find expansionist or colonial policies always follow religiously devout leaders, or those whose ear is control by a religious lobby. Look through history to every genocide of any people's and there you will find religion. Look throughout history, including very recent history, to every time historical artifacts are purposefully destroyed in violence, there you will find religion. It is absolutely religion, the ridiculous delusion that storybook characters are real. The absurd notion that their fictional creator deity of a universe as immense as this one, with the estimated 10^25 planets inside it gives a toss about one tribe out of all the tribes of a particular species of animal, out of all the animals on a single insignificant tiny rock in the milky way, a single galaxy in a sea of 10^12 galaxies. We can look as far back as records and archeological evidence go, and we see religious war all over the world. Fighting over whose made up nonsense is the one true made up nonsense, and utilising it as a tool to justify genocide and expansion. All religious roads lead here. The only means to peace is secularism. The removal of religion from the equation, so that no individuals beliefs rule over any others. Indeed secularism gave us the birth of the technological revolution. Any country not dedicated to secularism should find no trade nor foreign aid. It is time we ended the farce of religion and worked together on the real threats we all share, like overpopulation and adaption to a changing climate. They can only be solved by working together rationally.

@Teambharat108 lol no. The conflict predates colonialism by a long ways. The UK wasn't even a nation when Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists started fighting across the region. Colonialism settled it down a bit, but that only came about through Christianity imposing servitude. Forging nations in religious belief only leads to war and suffering. The ONLY road to peace is secularism.

@Burger9688 That's not true at all. Both sides look at it that way. Both sides fight over "holy land" that's the whole fight over east Jerusalem and a bunch of "holy" sites across the lands. Both sides have extremists whom seek the genocide of the other side. That's where Iran & Saudi Arabia play into it. They fund, supply & train hamas. That's why yankville goes on and on about Iran not getting nukes. Iran only has one target, Israel. A nuclear armed Iran would shift the power balance in the middle east away from Israel whom are currently the only nuclear armed nation in the region. You have the 3 houses of Abraham, the Jews, the Muslims and the Christians and all of them believe this "holy" war is their deities plan. The western Christians believe this is how the return of "Jesus" comes about. The Jews and the Muslims both believe this how they bring about the end times followed by heaven on earth. Each just cast themselves in the role of chosen people and the other in the role of antichrist. It's disgusting and batsh!t crazy. All financial aid and international trade with anyone forming a nation in religious belief should be immediately halted until such time as they embrace secularism. Turn them into North Korea style pariahs until they learn that storybooks have no bearing on reality. Mentally ill people shouldn't have nuclear launch codes that put the existence of life on earth in jeopardy.
