  1. Some dodgy language there from Sir Charles Walker. All rights are granted freedoms, that's how they work. They can all be limited, restricted or removed at any time. That's the nature of rights. They only exist to facilitate responsibilities. No one in the rest of the world cares about people being arrested for protest at a coronation. The King, is the monarch. That's not just the head of state, it makes the crown THE STATE. Ie. The King IS the UK, and you just have the privilege of living here. His rules go. All the acts of parliament, past, present and future are meaningless in their entirety if the King snaps his fingers and wills it so. Monarch means dictatorship. Just because the dictator rubber stamps things and lets you pretend you live in a democracy doesn't mean you actually do. See Thailand.
