Roflmao. I'm sorry OP but that is complete and utter nonsense. The humidity in the UK is mild at best, if you want actual humidity visit somewhere in the tropics or subtropics. The UK is nowhere near. It also doesn't feel hotter in london than other places, indeed it's cooler. 35°c in London feels like 29°c in the tropics. Heat absorption in concrete only has an impact as the evening cools. You're used to the cold and your body has brown fat to cope with that. So when it warms up you feel the heat more than someone with less brown fat, such as people living in hot areas. As someone outside the UK and living in the subtropics, I can assure you the rest of the world thinks you're complaining about nothing.

@theotheseaeagle Of course it does, I didn't say otherwise. I was responding to OPs comment where they're talking specifically about London. However, my comment applies to essentially the whole of Europe from 51.5°N and up towards the pole.
