It's almost as if allowing any random person to run for office, without regard for their education, knowledge or experience, is and always has been, at the root of all problems in democracies. And it's almost as if the point of governance, in a capitalist society and regardless of party, isn't about you or me but about ensuring the greatest profits for those in power. And where is the Queen in all of this? No law passes without first the agreement of the friends and relatives of the ctown (lords), and finally not without royal ascent. To imagine the now king was not involved in helping his elderly mother in these processes is naive to the extreme. Of course he was, he was king in waiting and time was almost up. Where is that enquiry? Oh, that's right it can never be because they're immune by birth. It's almost as if that's a ridiculous medieval system that holds no place in 2023.
