  1. What a ridiculous brain fart comment, you should feel ashamed of yourself. Here are some common scenarios where emergency social housing applies 1. You have a cognitive, developmental or physical disability that prevents you from working 2. You are in an abusive relationship and leave for your own safety, and need temporary housing tonight 3. You are a single primary carer for a child or children and thus can't afford housing 4. You work full-time but your landlord puts your rent up beyond your means, and due to the current market you are unsuccessful in finding a new rental before your lease expires 5. You are elderly and living on the old age pension. 6. You are 18 and escape abusive parents There are many more legitimate scenarios. Emergency housing is short term housing for emergency situations. As they said in this video the overwhelming majority of people who receive emergency housing do not then move on to social housing placement. They move to private rentals. Stealing people's children and placing them in the foster system which is rife with abuse and is funded by taxpayers anyway is not a solution to anything. Indeed thats the fastest way to create a crime epidemic. Think before you post
