  1. Marriage and birth rates are both down. More and more people see marriage and children as a scam. I got divorced in the UK and lost 70% of my money, assets, and home equity to my ex-wife who earns more than me (we only had 1 kid). I'm now also stuck on 10+ years of child support for a child I am only allowed to see every other weekend.
