  3.  @dylanr1316  if you have no purpose or calling in life why would any sensible woman want to be in a relationship with you? you are putting the cart before the horse. get the purpose/calling first and then invite a woman on the journey. and definitely get a pre-nup if you decide to marry,

  4. I'm in the 14% too. Marriage was the most financially reckless thing I have ever done. It is essentially legalized theft. I lost 70% of everything despite my wife earning more and us only having 1 kid.

  5.  @dylanr1316  Raising kids/being selfless is one good trait. But you need a lot more than that to have a healthy relationship, e.g. looks, money, emotional connection, fun/exciting lifestyle, leadership, etc. Being purposeless is going to result in divorce long term.

It's legalized theft. Once you get married, you lose all power over your money, assets, home and child (who ends up being used as leverage).

  9. Marriage is not a healthy and secure environment. Around 50% of marriages end in divorce/unhappiness. Marriage is so financially dangerous people have to make it safe by getting a pre-nup. Fortunately, marriage rates are falling so fewer people will have to suffer.
