I used to think mental health, psychological therapy and trauma wasn't real. Then I lost 70% of all my money and assets in my UK divorce despite my wife earning more and us only having 1 child. Trauma and all its side effects is a real thing and will drag you down unless you do something about it and come to terms with losing everything. Great podcast topic.

@lahicks9773 You are partially correct. I would agree that my divorce is a product of (childhood experiences) having an avoidant attachment style. But your last sentence is completely incorrect. Losing my money and house to someone who is richer than me and being stuck in an injustice loop has definitely made my trauma and psychology a lot worse. You just simply don't understand what I have been through in a messy 2 year long divorce.

@russkiy6ot why do you assume privilege? its probably because I have a personality/mental health disorder which means I struggle to understand and read other people's thoughts and feelings. lots of people drown out their own trauma/issues by throwing themselves into work or into the online world (avoidant attachment style). throwing yourself into work or the online world because you struggle to understand others doesn't necessarily make them privileged or self-centered. its obvious you don't understand anything about me and have just made an entire baseless comment.

@russkiy6ot why do you assume its privilege? rather than a disorder that makes it difficult for me to understand and empathize with other people's emotions? not everyone deals with traumas in a healthy way, some people thrown themselves into work so they don't have to think about and process their emotions. maybe its your privilege and self centred nature that stops you from realizing that.
