  1. What Jonathan says is also the law in the UK, i.e. the UK respects overseas marriage and will conduct UK equitable distribution divorces on foreign marriages. As Jonathan says, you are potentially playing with fire by going down the foreign/overseas marriage route. There is little to no benefit in marriage for most men in 2022. Don't risk it.
