  1. Rich Cooper said it best. Smart men don't marry. It is not worth it. There are zero benefits and just a bunch of extremely painful risks. I lost 70% of my money and assets, including my house, in my UK divorce despite my wife earning more and us only having 1 kid. I didn't even end up with 30% after paying my legal fees.
