  1. This is a supply and demand issue. There's lots of single/childless women but very few high value men (HVM) worth being with. If women can spot a HVM before he becomes a HVM (i.e. spot potential) they will need to fight off less competition. They may also need to accept a HVM will exercise options and probably not want to get married.
