Guys in terrible marriages are lonely as are divorced guys who just see their kids every other weekend or who barely see their teenage kids as they are too busy or have been turned against the father. I think being alone is actually quite common regardless of relationship status.

Not just a bank/financial security, they also see you as a way to make cute babies who they will get custody of (but you get to pay for them and her via child support).

@davidehl323 It is great to hear that very slowly, more and more guys are finally realizing the juice isn't worth the squeeze, and that marriage is a horrifically biased and one-sided contract that rewards one party while financially ruining the other party.

4 big facts: 1. Women are complaining (about shortage of high value men). 2. Women are having to settle for low value men (these men will probably end up losing their money in child support, house they live in, and custody of their kids in the inevitable divorce process). 3. Once women have the diamond ring, house and kids, they begin to think why on earth am I still in this relationship for? I've already got everything I needed from this relationship! Good luck if you ever get divorced. Karen the divorce judge can be brutal when it comes to alimony, child support, the house, custody, legal fees, etc. I lost 70% of everything in my UK divorce.

Some women are just not 50 year marriage material and will divorce regardless. The wives of billionaires (Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos), the wives of Chads (Tom Brady, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp), the wives of funny men (Chris Rock, Robin Williams, Russell Peters) find a reason to divorce their husbands even if they themselves bring nothing to the table.
