@CalinGilea if you are married with kids, it is almost impossible to leave a venomous wife unless you want to receive her fury in divorce court. So many men have no idea that they have thrown away their biggest trump card by getting married.

@user-ut4zw6so6o how does it even the playing field when only one of the people is at risk of paying both sets of legal fees, losing their home, losing their kids, paying child support, paying alimony, etc? There is a reason most divorces are filed by women. They are more than happy to break up a family. It is ruthless to break up a family for no good reason other than you are bored.

@JenniferJohnson-ub3gt I agree. Pre-nups should be compulsory, and 50:50 child custody (which cannot be put in a pre-nup) should also be an initial default setting too.

Same thing happened to me. My lawyer through me under the bus. She didn't push my wife to disclose but told me to disclose everything. The judge was unfair and she didn't punish my wife for non-disclosure. I lost 70% of all my assets. Please tell me Karma is real.

@franrod5227 the average male salary is greater than the average female salary so by default men have more money. husbands earn more than non-husbands so it appears women choose the richest men to marry. 97% of alimony payments (which is the result of marriage) are paid from men to women which helps women secure financial gain from the marriage. in addition, she will get her legal fees paid and secure at least 50% of the assets despite not contributing 50%. finally 70% of divorces are initiated by wives as they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. its not insecurity. it is just data and evidence.

@canelareina3795 I think its a genetic thing. Low value beta males will never be able to wear the pants because they have no leverage. Low value beta's (e.g. a slug) have no hiss. You have to be a high value alpha (i.e. a cobra) to have a hiss and get respect. Being a cobra vs being a slug is a genetic thing.

@JRed41 in other words, don't get married. its easier for men for to NOT FEAR separation and re-build quicker if they are not married. It is easier for women to fear LOSING him if they are not married. thank you for making my point.

@danrowe79 Yes. Marriage is so financially dangerous that you need a pre-nup to make it safe. Although I am from the UK and here there are no pre-nup laws so Judges can reject them, especially if kids are involved or the wife has no job.
